We're looking for someone bright and enthusiastic who has a willingness to get stuck in to help us make sure our communities understand the services we provide, and so local residents can have trust in us to support them when they need it most.
Are you educated to A-Level standard with experience in media relations, digital content, social media and writing high quality and engaging copy?
Key responsibilities for the role
- Managing the councils’ media relations for specific departments, including writing press releases, arranging interviews, briefing spokespeople and handling media enquiries.
- Copy writing for the councils' websites, intranet and publications for different audiences.
- Implementing and assisting the development of the councils’ social media activities.
- Producing the councils' newsletters for a variety of audiences.
- Advising staff and councillors on communications activities and issues.
